While the first two movies were fun adventures, Journey wasn’t a franchise that had a burning fanbase either, so it’s easy to see how it fell between the cracks.
In the same way The Mummy star Brendan Fraser was replaced by Johnson, the studio could have brought on a new lead actor for Journey 3, but considering the star power Johnson brought to the series, this was unlikely. Following the gigantic success of Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle Johnson was even less likely to revisit Journey, considering the similar tones between the two franchises. This wasn’t much of a shock, considering it had been 6 years since Journey 2 by that point and there had been little sign of movement on the project.

Almost nothing was heard about Journey 3 between 2015 to 2018 when Johnson confirmed to a fan on Twitter that Journey 3 was canceled because they couldn’t crack the script. Journey 3 & 4 were still being planned around this time, but it appears Johnson’s hectic workload and focus on other projects kept pushing them back. Johnson would later reteam with Journey 2 director Brad Peyton on San Andreas. Joe: Retaliation was considered an improvement on the original thanks to his starring role. Dwayne Johnson was becoming a major star during this era, with his inclusion in Fast Five credited with bringing that franchise to a whole new audience, while 2013's G.I. It appeared the studio was so confident in the future of the blossoming franchise they were planning to film Journey 4 alongside Journey 3. Journey 2 was an even bigger hit than the original, with reviews praising the inclusion of Johnson as the new leading man.

The movie also featured Michael Caine and adapted another Jules Verne novel The Mysterious Island. While Josh Hutcherson returned for Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, Brendan Fraser’s uncle was replaced by Dwayne Johnson as the stepfather to Hutcherson’s character. While reviewers found the movie gimmicky due to its use of 3D it was a solid hit for the studio.

On the whole, it is definitely an excellent movie simply if you believe in it.Considering the music and the passionate romance, I would highly recommend this movie.While the franchise appeared to be riding high after the success of the second movie, Journey 3: From The Earth To The Moon was ultimately canceled – here's why the third adventure isn’t happening, The series launched with 2008’s Journey To The Centre Of The Earth, which was based on the famous novel by Jules Verne and starred Brendan Fraser and Josh Hutcherson ( The Hunger Games). Simply, the transformation from realistic first half of the movie to rather less-realistic half is unconvincing.
Or the fact that it is not very common which gives us nothing to relate with the final half. The let down part in the movie would be less-realistic second half. All the support casts were equally good and Shruthi could have delivered much better. The significance of the movie are music by Anirudh and acting by Dhanush. The most important aspect of this movie is that, it also focuses on the after marriage part rather than just what the regular movies do.On this note this movie is not a regular romantic movie. First half of the movie, happens to everybody in their life, which is followed by not-so-regular happening in the second half. The movie is a mix of regular and rare happenings. The best part is that the romance depicted is simple and passionate as well. 3 - Starring Dhanush and Shruthi is an honest attempt of Romance genre in the recent past. Ever watched Donnie Darko? and remember how does it put us speechless in the final minutes.!! You could experience the same in this movie as well, a touch higher feel indeed.
